Tralee Triathlon Club, in association with the event ‘Landers sponsors Tri Kingdom Come’ are raising funds for the fantastic RNLI station we are so blessed to have based in Fenit. This is 100% volunteer run and they are always on call. As a club that spends so much time in the water we would like to help give something back to the brave souls who keep us safe when we are out there! Please support this fantastic cause.
Well, we are a Triathlon Club, so we want to give our members loads of Triathlon Race practice.
For the last number of years, the club has hosted a ‘Mini Tri Series’. This is a series of 8 races for members of Tralee Triathlon Club.
These will take place this year on every second Tuesday evening during the summer with the exception of the week before our Club Race, Landers Sponsors Tri Kingdom Come. On that week, we will have an Olympic Distance Race on Sunday 24th of July, primarily to give everyone a rest in the week leading up to the race, but also to host an Olympic Distance race for those preparing for a Half Iron Distance Triathlon, such as Dublin 70.3 or Lost Sheep triathlons.
These races are training events and there is no charge. Club Members only. All members taking part are expected to take their turn to marshal/volunteer for one race in the series.
The dates for our Mini Tri Series are as follows:
Tuesday 17th May MINI TRI 1 Duathlon 7pm
Tuesday 31st May MINI TRI 2 Aquathon 7pm
Tuesday 14th June MINI TRI 3 Aquabike 7pm
Tuesday 28th June MINI TRI 4 Try-a-Tri Triathlon 7pm
Tuesday 12th July MINI TRI 5 Try-a-Tri & Sprint Triathlon 7pm

Tralee Tri Club Duathlon Series with Kingdom Endurance
Well with all this winter training everyone is doing, I bet you are all itching to race! Water temperatures will still be on the chilly side until May, so to keep you ticking over in the month of April, we are bringing back our club Duathlon series with Pat and the lads at Kingdom Endurance in Tralee.
A recent recce was carried out on the Trail course for our Tralee to Camp Run Event due to be held on the 19th March. Unfortunately I’m disappointed to report that large sections of the Trail have been eroded and washed away and other sections are water logged after the storms of winter.
In the interest of HEALTH & SAFETY within the Tralee Triathlon Club our Event will now change location, our new Venue will be GLANAGEENTY!!!!!

We are also delighted to announce the Fenit RNLI Lifeboat stationas our charity partners again this year and we look forward to working with them to raise more funds for this fantastic service that is run solely by our local brave volunteers. Last year we were thrilled to raise €2000 for this more than worthy cause.
The Sprintcomprises of a 750 m swim, 20 km cycle and 5 km run, all taking place along the stunning Wild Atlantic Way. This is a nice flat course and perfect for athletes trying to better their times or beginners looking for an easy course for their first triathlon!
Start time is estimated to be between 11.00 and 12.00. The swim will be tide assisted again this year ensuring that everyone achieves a great time. Last year we had very happy swimmers as PB’s were smashed by many!
We have always had closed roads for the duration of the event and we anticipate having closed roads again this year.
After the amazing competitor feedback from last years event we have invited Jules Hall-Weakley back again to provide entertainment on the day and for the after race BBQ that will be provided to all competitors and volunteers after the race.
We are also delighted to welcome back Stephen Kelleghan of TI Media to document the day with his amazing photographs. This year he will coordinate a team to do an even more amazing job than he did last year and cover more sections of the race.
We will also have a few additional entertainment surprises up our sleeves!
Watch our social media page for news of the after party — come in numbers and plan to stay the night!
Race briefings with all of the required details will be sent out to all registered competitors closer to the date.
