Membership Advice, Costs and FAQ

The cost of joining Tralee Triathlon Club is €50. Scroll to the bottom of the page, select County Kerry and Tralee (the JC symbol just means we also cater for junior triathletes).

If you intend doing less than 3 triathlons and training with the club then you will need a training license €22. You will require a One Day License for each triathlon you intend to take part in.

If you intend doing a number of triathlons then take out a race license for €65, this will also cover your training insurance. Further information can be found by clicking on this link.

There will also be a race entry fee for each event entered.

 

Gear:

Running gear and a pair of trainers. It is worth getting your gait analysed to find our which type of shoe will suit you best, some shops offer this service free.

 

Swim suit and wetsuit for open water swimming. An entry level wet suit costs around €200, around €300 will get you a suit that is more flexible, high end suits typically cost more than €500.

 

Bicycle any type however its worth bearing in mind that less weight and more gears will move you faster. An entry level bike will cost around €200, a racing type bicycle starts at around €500, carbon fibre bikes are at least €1,000 with the more capable bikes costing double that.
